Workshops and lessons
We offer lessons in singing and playing various musical instruments from beginners, through intermediate level up to preparation for conservatory study, for all age groups. Our teachers are well-known performers who are actively engaged both in performing and teaching. Lessons can take place in the comfort of your own home or you can visit the teacher at an agreed location in Prague. Price and specific terms can be agreed. This saxophonist is a representative of the young jazz generation. He studied at the KJJ, he passed a course at Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Leipzig and is currently completing his studies at the Prague AMU. During his studies he had the opportunity to encounter excellant teachers /Johannes Enders, Richie Beirach, David Dorůžka etc./ and at has since used their methods in his own teaching. He works as an external teacher /saxophone & clarinet/ at the International School of Music and Fine Arts in Prague and also teaches privately. He has experience of teaching beginners, with whom he focuses mainly on the basic technical aspects of playing and creating a positive and spontaneous relationship with music itself, as well as working with advanced students of all age groups. He always tries to adopt an individual approach and he creates a teaching plan based on the wishes and aims of the particular student. As well as saxophone and clarinet technique he teaches jazz harmony and improvisation from the basics up to more complex modern approaches. Jan Kyncl has performed in several smaller bands /Evidence Quintet, Tembryo, Ylativ Algo Quintet/ and larger ensambles /Big Band Theory, Andy Schofield Big Band, EBU Big Band/.
Singer and pianist Lucia "Luci" Radecká studied piano at the Conservatory in Košice. At the time she focused on singing in groups of various genres and successfully participated in several singing and songwriting competitions /Superstar I. - semifinal, Košický zlatý poklad - 2.place, Coca Cola popstar - final, Zlatý gaštan - 1. place/. During the further studies and work obligations she took part several time in the annual Summer jazz workshop in Bratislava, she attended a year-long course with O. Krajňák in Nitra, had private lessons with the excellent singer and teacher O. Škrancová and performed with the R. Němejc trio in Prague jazz clubs. Currently she both performs and teaches. She accepts beginners and intermediate students.
Radek Němejc is a sought-after drummer and percussionist. He studied at the KJJ and in 1992 he was chosen to take part in a workshop in Denmark led by drummer Ed Thigpen, Django Bates and Barry Haris. At the beginning of the 90´s he started to perform on the Prague jazz scene and take part in various international jazz festivals in Europe, occasionally working with the orchestras SOČR, OPSO and Agon. He also collaborated on performance, film and theater projects with M. Pavlíček, V. Bauer and V. Franz. He currently plays in several bands as a sideman and he is involved in his own musical projects. For more informations www.radeknemejc.com. Stanislav Mácha is a well-known pianist who has worked with Czech and foreign jazz stars / Dan Bárta, Robert Balzar, Felix Slováček, Yvonne Sanchez, Jaromír Honzák, Piotr Baron, John Abercrombie, Craig Handy, Nicolas Simion and many others/. At present he both performs and teaches. He offers piano lessons ranging from basic notation to jazz theory and improvisation for people of all ages and levels in a friendly atmosphere based on an individual teaching plan.
