This jazz band consist of the Slovak singer Lucia Radecká and the trio: well-known pianist Stanislav Mácha, multi instrumentalist and recently very sought-after basist Jan Fečo and excellent sideman, drummer and percussionist Radek Němejc. All of whom go back to the roots of the jazz. Their repertoire consist mainly of jazz standards enriched by their own arrangements and performances.
The band Radek N. session was formed for the exhibition of J. Kolář. At the time, in 2001, they also recorded their first CD "Singing oblong", which featured improvisations inspired by the works of this artist. The line-up has varied from the beginning, and a number of both younger and more experienced musicians have played in the band. From the start, the band focused on jamming. This approach still continues but is now enriched by the band´s own arrangements. The repertoire consist of jazz standards and the band´s compositions. They have always found inspiration in the roots of jazz and sometimes also in ethnic music and others genres. Members of the band include: J. Kyncl, J. Fečo, S. Mácha, M. Černý, T. Dlapa, D. Hocko, T. Jochmann and others.
Drummer and percussionist Radek Němejc invites some of the best performers on the czech jazz scene including interesting guests from abroad to join his project. All the musicians are connected by a deep relationship with the jazz tradition, which embraces the most varied musical influences and approaches. This is reflected by their repertoire, which pays tribute to the jazz greats and their work, while at the same time providing inspiration for band members' own compositions.
